Andrew Cordell worked hard to create the ideal scene for his proposal to Liza Kormann. He took her for a sunset stroll at Lake Harriet, where he surprised her with a quintessentially romantic setting—a dock with a display of lights, a cozy blanket, hot chocolate and a letter addressed to her. Their charming engagement set the tone for a breathtaking wedding, which centered on a theme of “home.” Details and flowers in soothing, welcoming dusty blues and natural greens graced Legacy Hill Farm, while, with Liza’s parents’ assistance, little domestic hints appeared throughout, from the handmade reclaimed wood miniature houses for favors to the napkins carefully folded in the shape of a house. As they continue to build their new life together, Liza reminisces that “the feeling of looking out at the crowd gathered during our ceremony will truly stay with us forever.”
