Wine connoisseurs Kristina Hefty and Tony Anderson knew that they wanted to share their love for one another, as well as their passion for reds, whites and rosés, with the guests at their wedding. So throughout the year before the big event, the couple made it their personal mission to visit as many wineries as possible in Minnesota, building a collection of exceptional vintages to serve at their autumn wedding reception, along with assorted Wisconsin cheeses. When their wedding date finally arrived, the vino-lovers said their vows, embraced and led their guests to an outdoor cocktail hour/wine and cheese tasting. Met with 18 unique wines representing the terroir of Minnesota and nine different cheeses sourced from various farms in Wisconsin, the guests could not have been more delighted. Accompanying the lush spread was a map of the Midwest marking the locales of the wines and cheeses. It came as no surprise to anyone that the happy couple flew off to Napa Valley for their honeymoon.
