From the photographer:
Kelly always envisioned a personal wedding at her family's home on White Bear Lake. The decor was subtly sophisticated - warm, personal and tailored. Having the celebration at home made it so intimate. The color palette of ivory, mint, gold, coral, and ocean was a repeating theme throughout the decor.
From the bride:
Where do I even start with my hopes for the wedding and decor! For the colors, I wanted to pick a softer and more pastel palette to compliment the bright blue of the water and green of the grass since we'd be outside - I wanted to compliment the natural colors. I love flowers so those were very important to me; and I also wanted something to tie to the lake - where the boat bar came in! Selecting decor, I wanted it to feel like a sophisticated, lakeside garden party during the ceremony and cocktail hour and then have the tent transition to more of an elegant dinner party. I wanted it all to feel very intimate even though we had about 200 people, which I think it did. Luckily since it was nice out we were able to "seal" the tent and reveal it right before dinner, it was fun to keep it as a surprise for the guests. Everything fit together so well and we really used the elements of the grass, lake and house - as well as all the gardens that my Mom worked so hard on, along with all the beautiful flowers. I felt like we were in a garden wonderland!
