Angelica Telnik and Henry Wei’s wedding day was a beautiful merger of two cultures, both through their love for one another and a stunning design. Bright blooms in pink, purple, orange and red in classic chinoiserie vases surrounded the bride and groom as they exchanged vows through tears of joy. Angelica being Ukrainian and Henry, Chinese, they made sure to integrate their heritage and find a way to represent them simultaneously through color and décor. Vibrant pops of red, a significant color in both cultures, were incorporated tastefully into the florals, custom guest favor boxes on each place setting, and a bright red linen that accentuated the newlyweds’ sweetheart table. During happy hour, guests were treated to music and drinks with options to play yard games like ping pong, bag toss and ladder golf. During this time Angelica and Henry participated in the Ukrainian tradition of breaking korovai (wedding bread) presented by the mothers in attendance. The happy couple and their guests spent the evening dancing under a lush overhead installation of greenery and flowers, warmed by twinkling lights and lanterns to punctuate an evening they would never forget.
