Britney Johns and Will Fellows worked closely with their families to create a wedding that would reflect the couple’s love of the Minnesota outdoors. The wedding was held at Britney’s grandparents’ property in Cannon Falls, and the pair were married beneath a trellis built by Will and his father from birch trees grown at a beloved family cabin in Grand Marais. The reception took place under the towering pine trees that Britney’s grandparents had planted on the property over 20 years ago. Even the food followed the Minnesota-outdoors theme, with local beer kept cold in an antique canoe, fresh pan-fried walleye cooked over an open flame, and a bonfire with s’mores to cap off the evening. The wedding was officiated by the bride’s father, and her stepfather walked her down the aisle, a special way for Britney to offer major roles to the other important men in her life.
