Mediterranean Whimsy
Whimsy and beauty unite in this fresh take on blue at Urban Daisy in downtown Minneapolis. This design pulls in vibrant shades of Mediterranean blue, lemon yellow and crisp white for the essence of spring, and the floral pattern that graces the gown and dinner plates evoke the ambience of coastal Italy. “The happy dance between blue and yellow was so fun to capture,” says Natalie Werness of Bauer Creative. “Plus, blue is not limited to a particular season.” The centerpiece is a bright and airy splash of blooms featuring white sweet peas and ranunculus, yellow garden roses and juicy lemons with delphinium and muscari flowers adding a pop of blue; daisies playfully nod to the venue’s name.
Whether combined with whites for a crisp and clean look or with gold accents for a touch of luxury, blue can adapt to different styles and themes.

Celestial Glam
“Blue is a versatile color that can be paired with a variety of other colors, allowing for creative and beautiful compositions,” says photographer Jordan Joseph, whose vision for this serene scene began with this celestial blue gown by Mac Duggal. “The dress’ vibrant blue tones not only complemented the overall aesthetic, but also infused the entire shoot with a sense of sophistication and glamour,” Jordan notes. A color palette in watercolor washes of caramel, azure and verdant greens create an idyllic setting against a modern backdrop of the Hutton House in Medicine Lake. Pastel blooms and sumptuous greenery drape multiple arches like a path into an enchanted garden. On the reception table, a lush runner of blooms keeps the garden vibe front and center. The bouquet stars ruffled terracotta roses, surrounded with delicate sweet peas, clematis tendrils and fragrant hyacinth blooms.
