Angela Bianchi-Rossi and Alex Walz’s romance was starting just as the school year at Winona State was ending in 2018, but the couple didn’t let time or distance deter them. They had been together just over three years when Alex dropped to a bent knee at the end of the dock at Angela’s family’s cabin on July Fourth weekend. Their wedding day dawned rainy and cold, but just as the ceremony was starting, the sun broke through, warming everyone’s spirits. Family helped make the memories even sweeter: Angela’s godfather was the officiant, her grandfather gave a blessing in Italian at mealtime and Alex’s mother was their wedding planner. A favorite moment for Angela was the ring warming, in which close friends and family members passed around the couple’s rings, each taking a moment to offer a blessing for the newlyweds. Gusty winds took their toll on the arbor, but that didn’t diminish the breathtaking florals. Later, the arbor was fastened above the dance floor, adding a magical touch, along with hoops of greenery and fabulous floral centerpieces.
Angela and Alex looped in family and friends to help plan their event which featured unique elements including a 'ring warming.'
