For Elizabeth Reding and Travis Bayerl, family ties were paramount when planning their nuptials. The first step was the location, and the choice was easy, as the historic Holman’s Table, at Holman Airfield is partly owned by Elizabeth's father and staffed by long-time family friends. The bride wore jewelry passed down from her grandmother, and Travis proudly wore his father’s wedding ring. During the ceremony, Elizabeth’s brothers—also her brides-men—serenaded the couple while her mother, a judge, signed the marriage license. Their vows took place on the front lawn overlooking the Mississippi River with low floral arrangements against a floral-adorned backdrop designed by the bride. A sweet moment was when the newlyweds’ nearest and dearest showered them with petals collected from every bouquet Travis had given Elizabeth as they exited the ceremony. At the reception, the couple made a grand entrance in the same car used in his parents’ wedding in 1991, a 1946 Ford restored by Travis's father. Guests dined at tables bedecked in dark linens and gold details under an installation of greenery and delicate blossoms that echoed the florals in Elizabeth’s bold bouquet. To end on a high note, the new Mr. and Mrs. cut into a two-tier white wedding cake decorated with live blooms. Every detail, from the personal touches to the historical backdrop, painted a vivid picture of their deep connection and their cherished bonds.
