When 16-year-old Amanda Martin went on her very first date, she thought fellow Totino Grace student Kurt Stein was a total gentleman—but they decided to stay just friends for the time being. It wasn’t until after college that she reconsidered her decision. They reconnected during an event at Kurt’s alma mater, the University of St. Thomas, where he admitted having a long-time crush and asked her on another date. “He was still the same gentleman,” says Amanda. This time the dates continued, and they held their wedding ceremony at St. Thomas to celebrate the site of their reunion. Aria’s open floor plan and brick walls offered an ideal canvas for the couple to share their romantic, laid-back vibe with family and friends. To help navigate their vision, wedding planner Nadia Glynn from the Simply Elegant Group stepped in on the day-of to take care of everything behind the scenes. “I cannot imagine my wedding day without her,” says Amanda.
