Verdant, Garden-Inspired Soirée with Whimsical Details at The Hutton House

Katie Nelson and Nathan Hoffman celebrated their union among family and friends at The Hutton House with a timeless, romantic spring wedding. The two met on Bumble and had their first date at the Hewing Hotel Bar. Over cocktails and dinner, Katie and Nate bonded over their shared interest in books, backpacking, golden retrievers and Minnesota sports. A little over a year later, the couple got engaged on a cliff in San Diego with a gorgeous view of the ocean. On par with their love of houseplants, Katie and Nate decided to have a verdant, garden-inspired soirée. The ceremony was truly one to remember, with their sweet puppy, Rosie, acting as ring bearer and walking down the aisle donning a custom floral collar. Vintage orange, pink and blue floral arrangements decorated all areas of the venue, as modern gold accents rounded out the chic design scheme. The couple delighted guests with a whimsical “champagne sip & be seated” display where everyone eagerly searched for their own glass adorned with their name and seating assignment. Later, the golden shelves transformed into a dessert bar filled with Cocoa & Fig’s exquisite mini treats. Katie and Nate made sure their guests felt pampered, with inviting lounge furniture and the enchanting melodies of the Saint Cloud String Quartet filling the air during cocktail hour. The couple advises nearly weds, “Grab a cocktail, stand in the corner with your partner and bask in the joy of being surrounded by all the people you love best in the world.”
