When Elsie Hanken and Noah Woodis first met in college, they would have never dreamed their silent crushes on each other would grow into a lifelong partnership. Seven years later, they find themselves no longer just friends but now bride and groom. The goal for their wedding was to lean into the elegant and timeless feel of their venue, Equestria West at Bavaria Downs. All white classic florals with a plethora of garden roses and ranunculus bedecked and emphasized the bright aesthetic of the space. On each of the tables, white flowers stemmed from bourbon bottles the bride’s father collected in honor of his shared love for the drink with his new son-in-law. Timeless and elegant, Elsie was luminous in her floral long-sleeved dress—her bridesmaids in “something blue” served as part of the accent color while Noah and his groomsmen were classically handsome in traditional black tuxedos. When planning their wedding, their goal was simply to celebrate their relationship and treat their loved ones to a great party—which they were able to do well into the night thanks to the late-night snack accompaniment of espresso martinis.
