Anisha Chada first saw Steven Wett at St. Olaf College, when she got his application for a medical volunteer trip to Honduras that she was leading. Nine years later, Anisha thinks Steven is just as cute as he was when he applied for the trip to Honduras. Wedding festivities began with a traditional Indian bridal shower and henna ceremony, followed by a sangeet, a welcome party for family and friends, complete with food and dance. Their traditional Hindu wedding brought rich florals and vibrant jewel tones to The Depot in downtown Minneapolis. Steven made an entrance on a white horse as guests gathered around him, welcoming him to the venue with song and dance as a part of the baraat, the celebratory wedding procession. After his warm welcome, Steven was seated under a wedding mandap of hanging florals and greenery as he eagerly awaited his bride. A cocktail hour followed the ceremony, with drinks served on napkins featuring a hand-drawn sketch by Steven of the couple’s dog, Luna. After guests were seated for an Indian-style buffet, the couple made a memorable entrance with choreographed dances. The wedding weekend came to a close at the Sunday ceremony as Steven and Anisha crossed the threshold together at Anisha's parents' home as husband and wife.
