Wedding Date: July 27, 2019
A former Miss Minnesota USA, Courtney Basara would never have imagined she’d discover a love for fishing and the outdoors. But she found that and a whole lot more when she fell in love with Dave Larson. Dave proposed to his unsuspecting bride-to-be at a woodland waterfall, putting the ring in his tackle box and asking her to choose her own hook. (She chose two different hooks before she even saw the ring!) Every detail of their wedding had a personal touch, many inspired by nature. During the ceremony, the couple watered a baby pine tree with water from six lakes, each with significance to the couple. Instead of a seating chart, guests received maps and had to navigate whichever lake-named table was theirs. The bride’s three rescue dogs became the “mutt of honor” and “bridesmutts.” Being surrounded by loved ones in nature was the best of both worlds, and Dave and Courtney couldn’t have asked for a better day.
