Maggie & Nic: A Vintage Wedding at Mill City Museum

Real Wedding

So much of Maggie Martyn and Nic Kumbalek’s relationship took place in Minneapolis—the couple first met while out with friends in the city, and Kumbalek proposed on the Stone Arch Bridge—that selecting the Mill City Museum for their wedding reception was a no-brainer. “We wanted to celebrate downtown, as we absolutely love Minneapolis,” Maggie says. “The space provided the perfect ambiance for what we were looking for, and we really liked the history of the museum.” They also knew that they wanted to incorporate a vintage theme into the celebration; one of Maggie’s favorite details was the mismatched china rented from Wallflower for the dinner place settings. They loved working with all of their vendors, who made it easy for the couple to enjoy their day, stress-free. “We wanted to focus on spending time with our friends and family, especially those who traveled from afar to celebrate with us,” Maggie says.
