High school sweethearts Kelsy Stone and Chaz Norrgard dated for eight years before getting engaged. Or, as Kelsy puts it, “Let’s just say I already had wedding ideas twirling in my head long before we were engaged.” One of those ideas was the Carlson Towers, a venue she discovered when helping her older sister scope out wedding venues. Kelsy didn’t think she’d be able to book the towers due to a short engagement, but a cancellation meant the space was hers for the taking. “I was scared because I had just seven months to plan, but I knew it happened for a reason and that we were meant to be married there.” Kelsy chose a shabby-chic theme for the big day, scouring local vintage and antique shops for the perfect centerpieces. “Shabby chic is a great concept because anything goes,” Kelsy says.
