Alyssa Klein’s mother played matchmaker while on vacation in Barbados, believing that her daughter and Mario von Günderrode, who she met at their hotel, had a lot in common. Alyssa’s father was a little more skeptical about the idea of an international relationship, but Mario sent Alyssa a LinkedIn request and soon the two were emailing, messaging and Skyping nonstop. Three months later they met in person and knew that it was meant to be.
They wanted a traditional wedding with a romantic feel, so they chose a soft color palette of pinks, creams and grays. With family coming in from all over Italy and the U.S., Alyssa wanted their wedding to represent the best of her home state. They chose Mount Olivet for the ceremony because of its stunning sanctuary and Woodhill Country Club for the reception for its elegant ambiance and gorgeous setting. In addition to their May 3rd wedding, the couple also had receptions in Florence and Puglia, Italy.
