Alexa & John: An Intimate Woodland Wedding

Real Wedding

Alexa and John's rustic woodland wedding is brimming with charming natural details. These touches include canoe oars, feathers, pine cones and birchwood placecard holders- all the sweet Minnesotan goodness that I love to see in a couple's special day. The theme continues throughout this beautiful couple's event, most noticeably in their lovely sun-drenched outdoor portraits, but also in the simple (but mouthwatering) pastries and sweet s'mores favors.

From the photographer:

In a traditional Ojibwe Ceremony John and Alexa were blessed by the burning of sage and prayers. The details of the day were filled with elegant touches, bringing their love for the outdoors into the Theodore Wirth Chalet. Their "guest book", which consisted of two canoe paddles for guests to sign, slices from tree trunks and vintage plates to display their tres leches cupcakes, were all perfectly paired to their style and personalities.
