Minnesota Bride Fall/Winter 2022

It was New Year’s Eve 2016 when Colin Pulte shared a midnight kiss with Kristin Jones in Chicago. Nearly four years later, the two were packing for a trip when Colin brought her into their bedroom and said he found something he thought she would like. He prompted her to close her eyes. When she opened them, he was on one knee asking her to marry him. On their wedding day, Kristin's grandmothers acted as flower girls before the bride walked down the aisle in a custom-designed gown from Stassi Holford, paired with Valentino heels as her something blue. At the cocktail hour in the pavilion at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the drinks were served with napkins bearing photos from Kristin and Colin’s parents and grandparents on their wedding days. Guests found their names and chair numbers inscribed on gold coins held to the lip of champagne glasses on shelves throughout the museum as they were escorted to the reception. “You could argue that the best décor was the art hung within the gallery,” Kristin says. Loved ones gathered around the dining table, adorned with white botanicals and lush greenery accompanied by yellow lemons. Kristin and Colin have photos taken by the guests from Polaroids and disposable cameras as keepsakes to remember their black-tie affair forever.
