WEDDING: July 24, 2020
After countless after-work walks around Boom Island in Minneapolis, Albert Maruggi made one walk more memorable with a shiny ring for Nicole Brinza and a new story for both to cherish. On a sunny summer day, the chandeliers at the Earl and Wilson Event Center glowed as the bride walked down the aisle in a form-fitting gown with a stunning embellished back. Nicole met her groom in front of a geometric arbor adorned with greenery and mauve florals built by Albert’s father, and his sister officiated. The couple added a personal touch, swapping the traditional cake for cookie ice cream sandwiches, and instead of the champagne toast they had limoncello as a nod to their favorite vacation in Italy. Guests danced the night away after Nicole’s 18-month-old niece started the party by showing off her moves on the dance floor, and the group bonded over Elton John and Blink-182. As they ended the night eating pizza in their hotel, Nicole and Albert had time to savor the new memories they had just added to their story.
