Nothing about Alexia and Nathalia’s big day went in without thought. They chose a venue in St. Paul that held personal significance to the two of them, as well as sponsors a cause they strongly support. Live jazz and a 50s theme was inspired by their many dates and cocktails at the Artists’ Quarter. The ceremony even included a portion of the Obergefell v. Hodges supreme court case, which cemented the legalization of same-sex marriage in 2015; signifying the importance of what the two were truly accomplishing that day. Friends and family were also a main focal point of this celebration. Close friends officiated and provided music for the ceremony, and Alexia cites her mother as being “instrumental” in planning their special day. The St. Paul College Club was filled with hundreds of paper flowers made by family members and loved ones. These were accented by gorgeous greens running the length of the reception tables and matched with the sugar-spun florals on the wedding cake. Everything seemed to fit perfectly on that day, just like the pair it was honoring.
