Maria and Aron took their love to new heights as they tied the knot midair in Stillwater. The pair met at the Apothecary Cocktail Lounge in 2021 and dated for a little over a year before their sunrise elopement in August of 2022. It only made sense the pair do something out of the ordinary for their elopement, as their relationship is centered around spontaneity and new experiences together. Their day began at 4:30am where Maria and Aron got ready for their wedding day together, with the help of caffeine of course. Bride donned a romantic hand-beaded gown with a bold slit. Effortlessly matching the dusky morning, the groom opted for a dapper grey suit, navy tie and bright colored socks. As the sunrise began on the horizon, Aamodt's Hot Air Balloon Rides prepped for the magic to come. “I’d follow you anywhere, even in a balloon” Maria said to her husband-to-be before takeoff. At 6:30am, the adventure-seeking couple soared into the sky to exchange vows in the clouds. An hour later, Maria and Aron were on the ground as husband and wife. “From the way Aron lifted Maria into the basket, to the way they melted into each other up in the clouds, it’s clear the adoration and respect they have for each other,” said photographer Olivia McCracken, O & B Photo Co. Still on cloud nine, a mimosa toast was in order for newlyweds, followed by exploring Downtown Stillwater and the sun-soaked rows of vines at Saint Croix Vineyards before a celebratory brunch.
