When Sydney Dobbs met Michael Floyd through a mutual friend, she wasn’t impressed that he was a pro football player. But Michael, who played for the Minnesota Vikings along with several other teams, was persistent and won her over. Sydney planned a classic black-tie affair for the big day. They had a shorter engagement to ensure that Sydney’s father, who had undergone two heart surgeries last year, could walk her down the aisle. Also accompanying Sydney down the aisle was her 5-year-old daughter, Sienna. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Michael surprised Sienna with vows he had written just for her, and the three lit a unity candle during the ceremony. The day was filled with family, music, flowers, and, of course, football players. One of Sydney’s favorite parts of the day was the 10 minutes she and Michael spent alone after the ceremony. On such a busy day, to sit and decompress together as newly wedded husband and wife was a precious moment they’ll cherish forever.
