Foliage-Forward Design in Modern and Romantic Wedding Day at Woodland Glasshouse

A Bumble success story, Chelsea and Joe’s loving relationship blossomed in Uptown Minneapolis through gardening, trivia nights and laughter. Given their affinity for plants, the couple aimed to accentuate the greenhouse feel of Woodland Glasshouse at Bavaria Downs. Fresh ferns cascaded from the ceiling and floated in lush clouds about the modern space, complemented by spatterings of dainty white florals. Chelsea and Joe exchanged their heartfelt vows in private, before uniting as husband and wife surrounded by the loving energy of their friends and family. Their unity ceremony included the planting of a tree that included their mothers each providing a cup of dirt from their childhood homes. Post-ceremony the pair took yet another private moment to themselves to soak in their newlywed status. A dreamy scene unfolded for the reception, the design was an extension of the elegant venue with charming green bud cases, fern centerpieces and pops of black candles that echoed the structure of the atrium. Guests were encouraged to sign a watercolor painting of the venue in lieu of a traditional guestbook, making for timeless memorabilia from their romantic wedding day. "We wanted to have this wedding not only to get married, but to celebrate alongside our closest friends and family," Chelsea reflects of the overwhelming love she and Joe felt on their wedding day, "As Joe said in his toast, it takes a village - and these are the people in our village who have supported us along the way. We couldn't have done the day without them."
