Celia Colwell and Bobby Ridley met through friends at Lyon’s Pub in Minneapolis, and it wasn’t long before they discovered that they’d both been at the same bar the night before, although they hadn’t seen one another. It nevertheless seemed to them as though fate was working its hardest to get them to meet. Their wedding was a classically elegant affair, with a church ceremony followed by a trolley ride over to Lake Calhoun for the reception. Handmade drink flags for the Champagne toast featured the couple’s hashtag (#meettheridleys), providing guests with an easy way to share their pictures and impressions throughout the evening. A late-night snack of mini grilled cheese sandwiches, fries and milkshakes was a huge hit, as were the customized matchbox wedding favors, which had the Lyon’s Pub logo on one side, in honor of where they’d first (knowingly) crossed paths.
