When Brittney LaFavre visited her dad at work one day, she didn’t expect to meet the man of her dreams. Even though she was a bit embarrassed by her lack of makeup, it was love at first sight between her and John Besser. “I walked out of the room and told my mom, ‘I’m going to marry this man,’ ” Brittney says. She was right: Two years later the couple wed at the Semple Mansion, a venue they chose for its romantic and elegant vibe. “The crystal chandeliers everywhere and the fairy-tale feeling made me feel like I was a princess marrying my Prince Charming,” says the bride. Everything went according to plan on the big day except for one minor detail—someone forgot to get Brittney from the bridal suite when it was time to walk down the aisle! “That definitely added some comic relief to the ceremony and reception,” she says.
