Dahlias, donuts, mimosas and pancakes-- these are a few of my favorite things. As they consider how to spend Valentine's Day most couples opt for dress-up and dinner reservations. There's definitely something to be said for this approach, after all, who doesn't love a fancy date at a trendy restaurant? This year, however, I am intrigued by the idea of a simpler Heart Day. This beautifully rosy and charming concept shoot is just what I have in mind. A lazy Saturday brunch with your beloved sounds pretty wonderful, doesn't it? Local photographer Tracy Walsh teamed up with a passel of talented Minnesota vendors to bring this Valentine dream to life. What a lovely morning to be spent with your spouse, fiancé or special someone; cozy, relaxed and oh-so-romantic.
From the event designer:
"Valentine's day falls on a Saturday this year. Why wait until dinner when you can do a romantic brunch? If you are recently married or engaged, creating new memories is one of the best ways to start your lives together as a couple. These ideas are to inspire you to relax in the comfort of your own home. Besides, aren't those donuts adorable? They are easily purchased from a fabulous local Minnesota bakery. So, get a pancake recipe, buy your favorite tea/coffee, make some raspberry mimosa (if you're so inclined), grab some flowers and enjoy a totally fab, in-your-pajamas brunch with your man. We know he loves you no matter what but you may score a few more points because of the donuts."
