Meghan McNamara and AJ Roberts were high school sweethearts who celebrated their engagement during a trip to Banff National Park in Canada. They were hiking near Lake Louise; after AJ popped the question, they popped a bottle of champagne before calling their families with the happy news. After dating for years, they wanted a celebration that honored all the people who had supported the relationship and watched them grow and change together. The bride describes herself as a planner and enjoyed working with her mother and Sarah Trotter of Lasting Impressions Weddings to make sure there were no last-minute surprises. Calhoun Beach Club’s white-on-white décor was festooned with stunning arrangements of garden roses, hydrangea and trailing vines. The couple beamed with happiness all day, on a once-in-a-lifetime high from the outpouring of love from family and friends.
