It didn’t take long for Kate Greeley and Dustin Sagedahl to pick a spot for their spring wedding. While looking through our own Minnesota Bride magazine, an advertisement for the Greysolon Ballroom caught Kate’s eye. “I loved how elegant and romantic it looked,” Greeley says. “Dustin and I knew right when we saw it—it was the place we wanted to get married.” As neither Kate nor Dustin are from Duluth, theirs was a bit of a destination wedding, and 290 people traveled from all over to help the couple celebrate. “We had so much fun with all of our friends and family. It was really special to have everyone there,” says Kate. One of the most important guests was Kate’s grandfather, who wasn’t expected to attend but ended up being able to. The two of them marked the occasion with a special granddaughter/grandfather dance.
