United in their experiences as athletes at St. Olaf College, Abby and Caleb brought their close community of friends and family together for a whimsical wedding day at Nicollet Island Pavilion.
Despite their busy schedules pursuing additional degrees, the couple devoted extra time to make their nuptials uniquely their own, crafting every detail to directly reflect their personalities. With the help of HappiLily Events, their dream of a joyous garden-inspired wedding day was brought to life. Evoking the feel of a summer day sipping Aperol Spritzes in Italy, florals in sunny yellow, vibrant oranges and pink alongside pops of sky blue created a sun-drenched atmosphere.
The bridesmaids wore gowns in these playful shades, with each bouquet uniquely matching the color of its wearer’s dress. Abby wore a flowing organza gown that highlighted her ethereal bridal beauty. Caleb donned a navy suit, white shirt and tie and a playful pop of florals in his bountiful boutonniere. Along the Mississippi River, white vases set against lush foliage framed the couple as they exchanged their deeply intentional vows.
The aesthetic plunged into deep romanticism for the indoor reception with string lights casting a warm glow on the vibrant florals and fruit-forward tablescapes. Tapered candles in the palette du jour crafted an environment of whimsical intimacy.
Guests signed a vinyl pressing of the newlyweds’ first dance song, “What Would I Do Without You” by Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors in lieu of a traditional guest book. Sequestered at their sweetheart table, Abby and Caleb were able to take in the view of those who mean the most to them gathered to celebrate their love.
