Jesse and Karla's outdoor wedding is sweet country perfection. Together since high school, these two are all fun and smiles. A lovely pair and a beautiful day.
From the photographer:
Jesse Mayfield and Karla Erickson’s love began in 9th grade where they met in a small rural school on the US-Canadian border. These Junior High sweethearts describe their 11-year relationship as strong, trusting and adventurous. Jesse worked for the Renewable Energy Group and surprised Karla with a proposal on top of a windtower on a job in California. This playful couple returned to their childhood stomping grounds, farm country, for their rustic chic outdoor wedding. Jesse and Karla chose to photograph formals in the fields of Karla’s grandfather's abandoned farmstead.
Their day was threatened with three heavy rainstorms. Yet the skies cleared at all the right moments. The warm sun peered through stunning storm clouds during their ceremony where they stood facing Rainy River beneath a willow arch as Jesse’s mom officiated. The bridal party arrived by hayride to the reception site which was complete with a home-style buffet dinner, tractor rides for the kids and s’mores-in-a-bag for all ages! The torrential rainstorm that ended the night didn’t stop guests or the happy, care-free couple as they danced to country musicians, The Chris Brooks Band, late into the night.
