Back in the early 20th century, the Pillsbury A-Mill was the largest working flour mill in the world, and its machine shop was a cornerstone of the young, growing Minneapolis. Now, a full century later, Machine Shop has reopened as a unique event venue in the heart of the St. Anthony Main neighborhood.
“Couples looking for a venue with character, customization and luxury will love Machine Shop,” says Stephanie Guidera, director of sales and marketing.
With two levels and lots of open, flexible space, the venue can hold more than 300 guests comfortably. The second-floor mezzanine is perfect for ceremonies and cocktail receptions, while the main floor is ideal for formal receptions and larger gatherings.
Considering its history, it’s no surprise the building needed some sprucing up. While the original 1916 architectural details and character remain intact, the space has also undergone lavish updates to bring it into the 21st century.
Machine Shop officially opened its doors this past summer, which means your search for a cool, out-of-the-ordinary venue just might be history.
