After dating for three years, John Augustiniak took Catherine Rogers to Boom Island Park along Minneapolis' Mississippi waterfront, under the ruse of viewing a blood moon. It was the golden hour when they arrived, and John had a photographer there to capture the moment he asked her to spend forever with him. They sent custom letterpress invitations in a gorgeous blush font that included a detail card shaped like Minnesota and included a map of Duluth on back. The day they were wed was stunningly clear and sunny, while warm shades of rust and pink in the flowers and boho décor welcomed guests. The couple particularly wanted to honor Catherine’s mother, who had passed away when Catherine was a teen. The bride wore her mother’s tennis bracelet and diamond pendant, as well as her bridal crown from her parents’ Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony. Greek dancing at the beginning of the reception broke the ice and celebrated her mother’s heritage. In a final gesture, the couple, in lieu of favors, honored Catherine’s mother with a donation to the MD Anderson Cancer Hospital on behalf of their guests. At the end of the night, they topped it all off with a dazzling sparkler exit.
