Muted Rainbow Hues, Cheery Florals and Modern Details at The Confluence

From collegiate neighbors to lifetime partners, Laine Luisier and Tate Sykes' love story bloomed over the course of seven years and culminated in a lively wedding bursting with color at The Confluence. Having been to more than 50 weddings together as a couple, the bride and groom wanted their guests to feel the wedding was uniquely personal and undoubtedly representative of their fun-loving energies and interests. Laine's bridal party, comprising eight bridesmaids, served as the inspiration for the wedding's color scheme. Each bridesmaid chose a dress in a different shade, resulting in an elegant array of muted tones. Balancing shades from indigo to butter yellow, the playful florals were an enchanting feast for the eyes, contrasted against the stark white of modern pillars surrounding the altar space. Laine's curls were pulled back in an easygoing updo and styled with her strapless fitted dress, she was the portrait of carefree elegance. Tate was equally eye-catching in a black suit and tie complemented by a cheery boutonnière and an adorable pocket square featuring their goldendoodle, Harvey. After the ceremony, guests were immediately greeted with appetizers and libations, and the continuing theme of bright florals was displayed as a charming seating chart. Sage green bows were tied around tapered candles serving as table markers. Guests were gifted matchboxes filled with golf tees and ball markers, connecting their shared affinity for golf with a special ode to Laine's grandparents who collected matchboxes from their travels. Though they enjoyed every bit of their wedding day, Tate and Laine's favorite part was returning to their suite at the end of the night to recap the love they felt, eat cake and revel in their newlywed status.
