Amy Johnson and Daniel Lee have known each other since first grade, but were reunited as students at St. Olaf College. They got engaged when they were celebrating Amy’s graduation from medical school, overlooking the lake at Daniel’s parents’ home. The couple immediately knew that same place, just outside St. Paul, was their dream venue, and enlisted both their families to bring their romantic garden wedding vision to life. The 100-year-old trees on the front lawn made a stunning backdrop for the ceremony, while the patio overlooking the lake was a natural place for cocktail hour. A white tent and cascading flower arrangements transformed the tennis court into a heavenly setting for dinner and dancing. One of the most memorable moments: When the couple sneaked away between dinner courses to view twilight over the lake and savor the beginning of their married life together.
