We’ve seen many of this story over the years: boy and girl live steps away from each other yet don’t meet or fall in love until they find themselves halfway across the world. You could take this as a tested testament that the universe really does have our back. Noah proposed to Stephanie stateside the night before their move to South Korea, but their wedding took place on a chilly late October afternoon in Brainerd, despite their initial plans. Noah wanted a snowy wedding, and they both decided that the only way they could truly celebrate love was by coming back to share the day with friends and family. The universe stepped in once again to bring plentiful snow before Halloween, just in time to exchange the vows. Stephanie and Noah relied on their guests’ advice and input throughout the night. While feasting on artisan pizza and brownies, everyone was invited to contribute “advice or adventure” to be included with wine bottles labeled 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50; representing the anniversary they would drink the wine and read the notes. Amidst the twinkling lights affixed to the vaulted ceilings, the room was abuzz well into the evening.
