A wedding with a destination feel is fitting for a couple whose budding relationship blossomed while each was living on two separate continents—John in the U.S. and Catherine in Southeast Asia, where she was teaching English.
Amid the picturesque bluffs along the Mississippi River, guests gathered in the summer sunshine for a ceremony on the winery lawn. Following outdoor cocktails, guests sat down to an opulent dinner in the Great Hall, which included romantic floral centerpieces, candlelight, sparkling lilac table cloths and escort cards cleverly displayed on wine corks. An effortlessly elegant aesthetic infused the event, mixing Old World charm with the couple’s fun-loving personality, delighting their guests with live accordion music at the start and a Chicago-based jam band to end the night.
