A flirtation that started in a college physics class turned into an engagement between Shelby Braun and Mac Rathman. Seven years after their first dinner date, Mac proposed at the same restaurant where they shared that meal. Their September wedding was awash in light blue, white and floral, from the bridesmaids’ gowns to the opulent floral decor. The couple wanted the wedding venue to feel like an enchanted garden in full bloom, transporting their guests into a dreamy world where nature and romance were one. “Their hearts are set on creating a space that exudes lightness, softness and pure romance,” said Paloma Rodrigues of Rosetree Wedding & Events. The soft floral arrangements helped achieve this aesthetic as they bloomed in every corner of the venue—even floating in the garden fountain, adding a whimsical touch to the already stunning scene. The newlyweds exited their ceremony under a tunnel formed by the wedding party and their bouquets, serving as a perfect transition into the evening ahead. Reception tables were adorned with lush bouquets in palest lavender, gold and pops of bright blue florals, and a four-tiered cake picked up on the blue theme with blue flowers twisting around the glorious confection.
