Lauren and Hans celebrated their wedding day with rustic style and charm (and a couple of quick twirls in a field at sunset). These two couldn't be sweeter, and their first look may be one of the most endearing that we've ever seen. Their day is filled with inspiration, from a beautiful bridal gown to the peach-kissed bouquets and ivy covered venue.
From the bride:
We are college sweethearts! Hans proposed on May 30, 2015. We were married on October 8, 2016. The church ceremony was formal and elegant, and the reception was more whimsical, classy, rustic and woodsy. We love the outdoors and being in natural settings, so we chose a rustic b&b for our reception venue. The Lodge has a certain simplicity in its interior architecture. In the common area, wide-planked wooden floors and paneling cut from 100-year-old pine and fir beams provided an enchanting backdrop. There are numerous candelabra and seven fireplaces that give it the feeling of a more grand, bygone era. Between the ceremony and reception, our entire wedding party took a detour to William O'Brien State park for some beautiful prairie photos.
