Kirsten Moran scored more than just goals in the University of St. Thomas soccer program; she also scored fellow soccer devotee Carlos Castelán. When it came time to plan their wedding, though, choosing the location wasn’t all fun and games. “We searched for so long for the perfect place for our wedding that fit both our modern romantic theme and the indoor/outdoor options we wanted,” Kirsten says. But once they visited Carlson Towers Rotunda, they fell in love with the space. The big day was full of fun, friends and, most importantly, family. “We included a lot of unique pieces that reflected our families in some way,” Kristen says. Case in point: Her uncle crafted a table runner out of wood from an old boat, Carlos’ Mexican heritage was represented via custom-made peso cufflinks (gifts for the groomsmen and fathers), while the bride carried her grandmother’s doily and wore her mother’s diamond earrings.
