Family heritage was of importance to the couple as the bride's great-grandfather was a Swedish immigrant and the American Swedish Institute was the perfect spot to celebrate.
Hutton House: Take a Peek Inside the Exciting New Venue
Here’s a new wedding venue you’ll want to know about: The Hutton House, which opened last fall, is a sophisticated, versatile property in Medicine Lake. But this isn’t one of those refurbished spots that finds a way to fit weddings into its space. Quite the opposite; Hutton House was built specifically for unforgettable events, which makes sense, since two of its four founders also run the event planning firm White Peacock.
“Our intent was to design a flexible space that would appeal to all types of brides and grooms,” says co-founder Jennifer Rasmussen.
The venue has three distinct event spaces: the Fireside Room, Lakeside Room, and outdoor courtyard. Couples can rent the whole facility to mix and match for ceremony and reception, or host the whole shebang in one central spot.
The Lakeside Room is the larger indoors space, seating up to 350 of your nearest and dearest. Boasting vaulted ceilings, dozens of large windows and a focal-point custom bar, this is an impressive and elegant room.
The Fireside Room is a cozier space, featuring a white brick fireplace; it can accommodate up to 150. Outside, the Courtyard is a private oasis, filled with year-round greenery and a glowing fire pit. It can host 300 people and is tent-ready for the colder months, which means this new venue is ready to wow all year long.
