When Emery opened this past April, downtown Minneapolis got a very cool, very midcentury new luxury hotel. Except it’s not really new—Emery is the rebranded former Hotel Minneapolis. Located in the historic Midland Bank Building, the 229-room, 10-story hotel is not just a great home base for out-of-town wedding guests, it now hosts weddings, too.

One venue option is Giulia, Emery’s northern Italian restaurant. The sleek, open space can fit up to 100 people, and couples get a very special perk—accomplished chefs Josh Hedquist and Steven Brown become your private chefs for the day. They can prepare the most special and delicious meal you and your nearest and dearest can dream up.

Another option is sectioning off the lobby for a cocktail reception. The luxe space can hold up to 150 guests for passed hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

Part of the hotel’s transformation included a top-to-bottom remodel. All guest rooms were redesigned, new private dining rooms (perfect for rehearsal dinners) were added, and the lobby now features natural light, loads of greenery and stylish furnishings to create a vibrant energy.
