Wedding Date: September 7, 2019
When Danielle Duckstad and Jordon Eder got married, it wasn’t just a union of two people, it was the day Jordon, Dani and her 9-year-old daughter, Lauren, officially became a family. Jordon had been part of Dani and Lauren’s life since 2013 so it was only fitting that she was also present at the proposal. It was a brisk November evening in 2017 when Jordon surprised them with tickets to an evening performance at the Guthrie. (“We’re big theater nerds,” Dani confides.) Jordon asked Dani to take a closer look at the tickets; looking closer, she saw an extra one, with “Danielle, will you marry me?” printed on it. The couple chose a modern, sophisticated theme for their wedding, reflecting the fresh, upscale feel of the Radisson Blu hotel. An (almost) all- white palette featured pops of dark burgundy, green and pale pink. Lauren accompanied her mom down the aisle along with the bride’s father and read her mom's favorite poem, “I Carry Your Heart with Me,” by e.e. cummings. Later, she surprised her new dad with a special dance number choreographed to their favorite songs, making the groom a little misty-eyed.
