Jennifer Schrankler and Blaine Nelson are a true Minnesota couple—from their history at the University of Minnesota to their first date at the Minnesota State Fair—so incorporating some interesting places in St. Paul on their big day was a must. The result was a picture-perfect celebration.
The event started at The Church of St. Peter. Its floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights ushered in a flood of natural lighting that illuminated the already glowing couple. The oldest church in Minnesota is also on the grounds, so despite not being able to fit all their guest in it, the newlyweds did step in for a few moments to capture some enchanting photos and ring the church bell after the ceremony. Next, they made their way to Raspberry Island, along with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. The party's attire in deep, dark shades of blue and burgundy stood out amongst the warm fall foliage and crisp city skyline. Jennifer reminisces that it was a fun, little getaway on Raspberry Island, and the groom and groomsmen got to relax while throwing a football around.
A simple yet stunning reception at the Science Museum of Minnesota topped off the day. Their "Periodic Table of Seating" was a quirky and original way to guide guests to tables set with pops of burgundy and quaintly framed candles twinkling atop fresh white linens.
