Kaitlin Kimmel and Robert Hass bonded over their shared love for the outdoors – so a mid-hike proposal on the Superior Hiking Trail was perfect. Natural elements also made their way into their January wedding. As a snowstorm raged, they tied the knot inside the cozy Van Dusen Mansion in Minneapolis. Kaitlin wore an ethereal light gray gown complete with floral embellishments on the bodice, complementing her bouquet of lush greenery. Their loved ones were essential to making the day special, as they replaced a traditional wedding party with their parents, siblings and nephews; one of their close friends officiated. The newlyweds fondly recall embracing a quiet, intimate moment to appreciate being together after they had exchanged vows and signed the marriage license. Having always spent Saturday mornings eating doughnuts, Kaitlin and Robert replaced the traditional cake with this breakfast dessert for one more personal touch.
