It all started with a cross-country road trip. After deciding to expand their California custom cake shop to a second location, Nadia Cakes owner and executive chef Abby Jimenez and her family loaded up their car and set off on a five-week trip. Twenty-three states later, they knew they had found the perfect location.
“When we got to Minnesota, we fell in love,” says Jimenez. Originally established in the Los Angeles area, Nadia Cakes is known for creating some of the finest cakes on the West Coast. The bakery has been featured on TLC’s Fabulous Cakes; most recently, Nadia Cakes was crowned the winner of an episode of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. Now, with her finely honed sweet tooth and an eye for design, Jimenez and her team are bringing the cake craze to the Midwest.

To ensure each order is perfect in every way, Jimenez insists that the designer whom each bride meets in her initial consultation will be her designer throughout the entire process of making that dream cake a reality.
