Wedding: October 12, 2014 Photographer: Bethany Meister Ceremony & Reception: Columbia Manor, Minneapolis
Scheming friends brought Erin Keyes and Liberty Lucken together. Per news of the setup, Erin intended on saying just a polite hello and excusing herself after five minutes—but that five minutes turned into four hours. While neither believed in love at first sight, they now say they’re converts to the romantic notion—“love that first night” as they call it. After being together for 10 years and having a daughter, Ivy, the couple was finally able to marry. They chose Columbia Manor for its rustic yet classic feel, as well as the grounds that promised brilliant fall foliage. The theme of the wedding was “Fall (in love) Fest”—a nod to the season in which they first fell for each other. The highlight for Erin was the ceremony and the personalized vows (which the couple finished writing the morning of the wedding). “It was amazing to look out in the crowd during the ceremony and see people from so many parts of our lives together.”
