A. You deserve to feel pampered and look gorgeous on your wedding day, and hiring a professional makeup artist can achieve both. Schedule a trial run with the artist of your choice. (Ideally, also schedule a date with your honey for later that day, since you’re going to look smokin’ hot.) If your everyday makeup is minimal, let the stylist know at your appointment. Tell him or her what you’re comfortable with, such as natural-looking colors, and what you’re not OK with (glitter, for example). Flip through magazines to find looks you like and bring them along to provide examples. If you achieve the perfect look at your trial appointment, snap a digital picture so you can refresh your makeup artist’s memory when your wedding rolls around. It may seem like a lot of extra time and work, but having flawless makeup means you’ll look perfect in your pictures. And who doesn’t want that?
