Couple Honors Their Fathers in Wedding at Creekside Farm
After eight years of dating, Rosalyn and Erik tied the knot in a sweet ceremony that paid homage to both the bride and groom's fathers who had previously passed away. As both dads loved the water, the couple was married next to the creek where the bride was escorted halfway down the aisle by her two uncles, and the rest of the way by her mom. To keep her father close to her, Rosalyn carried a bouquet that had a locket with her dad's picture tied to it with lace from his mother's wedding gown. Rosalyn's favorite part of the ceremony was exchanging their vows: "We wrote our vows to one another as love letters, and we plan to start a tradition of re-writing our vows each year for our wedding anniversary. We had a wooden box engraved with our wedding date where our original vows are kept, and will add our updated vows to the box each year." Honey jars were given to the guests as favors as the groom loves to garden and the family is passiononate about earth-friendly products. In a day of festivities, this couple was able to celebrate becoming husband and wife while honoring their dearly-loved dads.
