Scott Kanach and Berrett Gall didn’t have a specific theme for their wedding, but they took inspiration from where they got engaged (France) and where they planned their honeymoon (Italy), both known for their beauty—and good wine. So yes, you can see that they’ve got good taste. The couple chose Café Lurcat for their wedding because of its amazing food (“You will not find a wedding venue with better food for your reception,” Scott says) and large space with loads of natural light and fantastic décor. Memorable moments included North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp’s ceremony reading from the Supreme Court’s ruling on same-sex marriage, a rehearsal dinner at Bachelor Farmer and a post-wedding brunch at the couple’s home. But we think the real scene-stealer was Finley, the couple’s 3-year-old French bulldog, who patiently posed for some perfect pictures. “She’s heavily motivated by food,” Scott notes affectionately.
