Rock-Solid
This three-tiered cake by Sweet Retreat is a marbled delight. Each fondant-wrapped layer is decorated with weathered grooves and silver veining, giving the look of a centuries-old statue. Cake crumbs were toasted and dyed to create the moss accents on the glistening stone tiers, says owner and creative director Stephanie Kissner, while flowering dogwood branches climb high on this earthy confection.

Dreamscape
Soft shades and glamorous details make this cake stand out. Cocoa & Fig owner Laurie Lin says this cool, clean palette is a departure from the warmer tones they often use in wedding cakes. The ethereal blue and gray marble sets off the structural lines of the top and bottom tiers. The cake is topped off with hints of gold to make it shine bright (though not brighter than the bride, of course!).

Lovely in Lavender
To Enticing Icing owner and designer Heather Jurisch, the perfect formula for a romantic cake includes a muted palette, curves and a hint of florals. Jurisch followed these guidelines creating this confection, with a subtle layer of marble to enhance the design. From the pastel color scheme to the petal bottom tier to the pomander flower-ball topper, this creation takes the cake.

24k Magic
The golden accents running across the marbled tiers of this dazzling design were created with edible 24 karat gold leaf, making for a cake that sparkles at any celebration. Nadia Cakes lead decorator Lucas Rorvick and cake design manager Maria Ebent collaborated on this detailed creative confection. The final touch is a sweet cascade of handmade sugar flowers and succulents.
